Spring: Mastering the layers

Spring: Mastering the layers

Entering spring, sewing enthusiasm naturally blooms. The promise of warmer days brings a wave of inspiration.

Newness doesn't have to mean more. Sometimes, a thoughtful addition, a classic shirt or a pair of new pants, can breathe new life into what we already have.

Spring is about mastering the layers. They allow us to adapt throughout the day but layers can also be a way to mix textures, play with proportions, and create versatile outfits

EVERYDAY JACKET functions both as jacket and shirt, depending on the choice of material (fig. 2).

CARDIGAN SHIRT serves as a comfortable second layer — made in a temperature regulating wool suiting fabric. This version is made with self fabric fabric ties (fig. 3).

CARDIGAN VEST layered over CARDIGAN SHIRT for warmth and freedom of movement. The vest is made in a durable dry oilskin to shield the wind (fig. 4).
